The purpose of these terms and conditions is to provide the Virtual Mailbox service known as Copa Airlines Post. This service allows Copa Airlines Post members to receive in Panama City, either in Copa Airlines Post electronic lockers, at their home, at designated Copa Airlines offices, or at any other authorized center (depending on preference and availability), purchases of items made online from international retailers. The member will have a physical address or a post office box (P.O. Box) in Miami, Florida, provided by Copa Airlines Post, to which their purchases may be sent. By registering with Copa Airlines Post, the member accepts the terms and conditions of this agreement. Copa Airlines Post reserves the right to refuse admission to any member.
Definitions:
Carrier: The airline or cargo operator that transports the goods.
Virtual Mailbox: A physical space with an address in the United States to which members may send documents, packages, or merchandise.
Physical Mailbox: A physical space in Panama City where the member may collect the purchased merchandise without assistance.
Pre-alert: Advance information provided by the customer, including invoice details, customer number, package tracking number, and product description.
Declared value: The value for which the merchandise is insured, which must be equal to the value shown on the invoice and may never exceed the value declared for customs purposes.
Requirements for registration with Copa Airlines Post:
A duly registered individual or legal entity, who must complete the registration form and accept the terms and conditions of this agreement. Once the registration process has been completed, the member will be assigned a virtual mailbox number with the CARRIER's address, which will be notified by Copa Airlines Post via email.
At the time of registration and in order to use the service, the member must enter the information requested on the Copa Airlines Post website.
THE CARRIER guarantees delivery within the terms stated on the website, except when, due to causes not attributable to THE CARRIER, flights or delivery are delayed, or due to other circumstances.

Customs Procedures:
Copa Airlines Post members agree to ensure that each item in the shipment is properly described. Copa Airlines Post will carry out the corresponding customs procedures.
Copa Airlines Post shall not be held responsible if the shipment is held by Customs, its value is questioned, or any other issue is raised by the Authorities. If a shipment is held by Customs, Copa Airlines Post will notify the customer by email at the address provided in the member's account.
For customs clearance and tax calculation purposes, Copa Airlines Post will use the information (description and value, among others) stated on the commercial invoice accompanying the shipment upon its receipt in Miami, Florida, where the virtual mailbox is located.
Package Delivery:
The shipping time provided by THE CARRIER is calculated from the time the merchandise is received at THE CARRIER's post office box in Miami, Florida, until it reaches its final destination.
The member will have the option to pre-alert their package shipment. To pre-alert a package, the member must complete the available fields on the website, in the "Create Pre-Alert" section, attaching the purchase invoice. Failure to pre-alert may cause delays in the arrival time of the package.
Collection of Merchandise:
The member will be notified once their merchandise is available for collection or delivery.
If the member wishes for a third party to collect the package, they must send a signed authorization, together with their personal identification card or passport, to the email address copapost@copaair.com, indicating the details of the person who will collect the package.
If the member requests that a transportation company collect the package, they must send a signed authorization 24 hours in advance, together with their personal identification card or passport, to the email address copapost@copaair.com, indicating the name of the company.
Once the merchandise is available for collection by the member, they will have a period of thirty (30) calendar days to collect it. Once the 30-calendar-day period has elapsed, THE CARRIER reserves the right to destroy the merchandise, and the member releases THE CARRIER, its agents, employees, contractors, and other interested parties from any liability, waiving any action, proceeding, lawsuit, or claim, regardless of its nature or purpose, arising from or related to the destruction of the package.
The periods indicated will apply both to merchandise available for collection and to merchandise that, having been dispatched for delivery once, could not be delivered because no one was present at the address to receive it.
In the Event of a Claim:
COPA AIRLINES' liability for damage to or loss of merchandise is limited to the declared value of the transported merchandise, which will be agreed upon on each occasion. In the event of delay, COPA AIRLINES' liability is limited to the amount of freight paid by the subscriber from Miami, Florida to the destination, plus the fuel surcharge.
Upon collecting the package and signing the acceptance, the member acknowledges that the package has been received in perfect condition and waives any subsequent claim.
Any limitation of liability applicable to COPA AIRLINES shall also apply to its agents, employees, and representatives.
No agent, employee, or representative of COPA AIRLINES or the carrier is authorized to modify, alter, or waive any of the provisions of these terms and conditions.
No claim for damage, delay, or loss of goods shall be valid unless the person authorized to deliver them submits a written claim to COPA AIRLINES. Likewise, no claim for damage to or delay of the goods may be submitted unless the service has been paid for.
COPA AIRLINES shall not be responsible for merchandise that is incorrectly addressed to our warehouse in Miami, Florida. Likewise, COPA AIRLINES shall not be responsible if the customer provides incorrect information regarding the destination address, and the customer shall bear any additional costs resulting from this error.
The purchase of products that the customer directs to the mailbox shall be the customer's sole and direct responsibility. Therefore, COPA AIRLINES shall not be responsible for any financial obligations arising from payment for the products, packaging, insurance, or transportation thereof from the supplier's facilities to the assigned mailbox.
If the merchandise arrives at the mailbox without a commercial invoice, the customer agrees to provide a declaration of value for the shipment.
The customer shall also be responsible for additional customs expenses, taxes, and other additional charges, such as reprocessing fees, when the value declared on the invoice or declaration of value is lower than the value estimated by the authorities and this results in a proposed adjustment to the invoice value or a change in the customs clearance procedure.
COPA AIRLINES reserves the right to refuse admission to its customers and may cancel accounts that are abandoned, inactive, have a history of fraud, are used for illegal activities, are used by the customer to insult or mistreat employees or the company, contain false information, are opened for a purpose other than the contracted logistics services, or belong to customers with outstanding debts.
The customer agrees to provide truthful information that allows for full identification and contact. Persons who use information that does not belong to them shall be responsible for the consequences thereof and for any penalties established by the laws of the United States for this type of offense.
This agreement is non-transferable, and the subscriber agrees to comply with the above clauses. Otherwise, THE CARRIER reserves the right to terminate the agreement, and any annual fee, if applicable, will not be refunded.

Restricted or HAZMAT-classified goods:
Certain items may be classified as restricted goods or hazardous materials (HAZMAT) under international air transport regulations.

No more than four cells or two batteries may be shipped per package.
The following are not accepted for transport: defective, reconditioned or restored lithium-ion batteries, or those intended for replacement, recycling or disposal purposes, whether transported individually or as part of equipment.
Copa Post reserves the right to reclassify any shipment according to the applicable regulations.
